This is my logo for our design company,  simple, readable, and cost efficient. Using these simple colors it creates that modernized feel at a low price. It also looks clean, easy to read, and it is easily reproducible. My mood board is supposed to establish my ideas of feminine, industrial, and modernized. I used modern typeface and cool colors that evoke calm feelings.

Design Breif

Design Brief

After meeting with Ms.Underwood, I've come to the conclusion that what she needs is a clean, simple, modern, yet effective face for her design company. This is primarily a print design company so images and animals are not what she needs in her logo. The main color being dark gray would need accent colors such as dusk blue or alloy (Pantone colors 16-4120 and 16-3915). The themes of grays and blues would provide a clean, easy to look at pallet as well as looking modern and professional. My idea for her company would be to appear as powerful yet calming with the bold saturation of calming colors. The company would portray a modern, intuitive design. One of the most modern qualities of typefaces in the present age is the drastic differences between thick and thin strokes as well as flat, thin, horizontal serifs on lowercase letters.Comparing to old style typeface, modern typeface has vertical stresses rather than diagonal. Examples of this are companies like Bazaar, Vogue, and Elle magazines. These iconic typefaces are interesting and captivating as well as clean and readable- which is key to any design. The logo that is attached is one example of many options that could be used as the center to this design project. Elements of the logo like the name, colors, fonts, and theme will appear on other things like the letterhead, business card, envelope, and invoice to connect all the parts of the company.
